SPASAA Holds 2011 Basketball League

The SPAS Alumni Association successfully concluded the 2011 Basketball League under the leadership of SPASAA President, Rolinda Laurel-Uy ‘89, and the Sports Committee Head, Ervinne Stewart Que ’04.

The league kicked off last June 5, 2011 with the opening ceremonies held at the HP Pearl Basketball Court. A good number of batches were represented, including the 80's batches under one group, batches 93, 95, 97, 99, 2000, 04, 08, 10 and 11. The games were held during the Sundays and lasted for three months with “Grand Sport” as the official league ball.

BATCH 99 (PUREGOLD) triumphed as this year’s Champion, FIRST RUNNER UP was BATCH 95, and SECOND RUNNER UP was 80’s Batch (METRO DENTAL).  

JAMES CONCEPCION ‘99 was declared MOST VALUABLE PLAYER for his outstanding performance.  He was joined by EUGENE CHAM 80’s, TIM ANG ’95, LEXINGTON CHUA ’99 and DERICH TAN ’04 in the MYTHICAL FIVE.

SPASAA is looking forward to organizing more sporting activities in 2012 and hopes that more alumni batches will participate in them.
